Internships

The School of Journalism, Media and Communication’s ultimate goal is to produce ethically grounded graduates with excellent skills, knowledge and talents in the media and communication profession. Special emphasis is placed on sharpening their skills in writing, speaking, management, human and public relations as well as critical thinking. In addition to the normal theoretical and practical instruction offered in class, we require our students to demonstrate their abilities in applying the acquired skills and knowledge through practice.

Facilities.

Our students have access to a well-equipped library and media production equipment and studios. They are also equipped to learn in a blended environment.

The students have an eight-week internship programme with a reputable agency with emphasis in departments that relate to the programme of study, as this is a requirement for them to graduate. The Internship Programme also gives the students an opportunity to pitch themselves to the job market.
