Research Partners
Currently, under the NORHED II Programme, we are partnering with NLA University College in Norway, University of Rwanda and University of KwaZulu-Natal to establish a Coursework-and-Research PhD programme. The programme, a follow up on NORHED I (2013-2020) runs up to 2026. In addition to its flagship activity, the establishment of a PhD programme, the programme will support an MA in Journalism and Communication and capacity building at both University of Rwanda and at UCU; strengthen institutional libraries and training facilities in partner institutions; conduct, translate and disseminated research in the broad areas of Media Democracy and Development; Media gender, identity and participation and the role of media and times of crisis. The School will also prioritise Health Communication.
